Hayden Panettiere gives jail bait a new meaning

in

hayden-panettiere-protesting.jpgOur little Claire Bear just turned 18 about three months ago, but she's still hanging on to that jail bait moniker bestowed upon hot girls that we aren't supposed to think of as hot quite yet. Sin, and all that. Things have gotten just a little more serious though, as Panettiere is now wanted in Japan for participating in a demonstration organized by "Save The Whales" to, ironically, save the dolphins.

"I learned today that I have an arrest warrant out for me in Japan because of what I did for Save the Whales," says the actress, adding that the repercussions could be, "Potentially jail, but I doubt it. ... I guess they could come here and get us, but probably not."

The chances of that are slim to none, as the United States is one of many countries which do not extradite their own citizens to other countries, even those with which they have extradition treaties. It wasn't a pretty sight apparently, with blood in the water from the dolphin hunting and apparently fisherman actually physically threatened the protesters with spears. So why is it peaceful protesters get arrest warrants but violent fisherman with spears get to keep on murdering probably the coolest creatures on the planet?

There are a lot of cool things about Japan... this is not one of them.

About us

There really isn't any "us" here, just me. I used to mock bloggers but eventually started one to muse about my main interest: writing for television and film. Turned out to be a natural fit. Successful I am not, but I add my voice to the noise anyway and hope you enjoy the content here.
