Polanski Finds a New Flick

by Paul William Tenny

Wanted fugitive Roman Polanski has selected his next directorial feature, according to Variety, an adaptation of a novel called The Ghost by Robert Harris. As is always the case, the film must be shot in a country that does not have an extradition treaty with the United States, as Polanski is wanted for fleeing justice after pleading guilty to drugging and raping a 14-year-old girl in 1977. Polanski's home country of France does not extradite its own citizens.

More info in the original story if you're interested, though personally I don't think people ought to be watching films made by a wanted fugitive, much less one wanted for the rape of a little girl, who has been on the run for 30 years.
